We Believe
1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in matters of faith and life (2 Tim.3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; Is.8:20; 1 Thes.5:21) We use the King James Version for all church services and functions.
2. We believe that there is One God, existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1 Jn.5:1-8; Jn. 14:16; Mt.28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14)
2.1. We believe in God the Father (Jn.6:27; Rom. 1:7; Gal.1:1-3). This Person is the first in the Godhead. He is eternal, self-existent, omniscient, omnipotent, and the person through whom the Son is eternally begotten and sent into this sinful world.
2.2. We believe in God the Son. He is the second Person of the Trinity, eternally existing, begotten of the Father, and the Savior of all who believe. We believe that the Lord Jesus was perfect (100%) God and perfect (100%) man and that it was impossible for Him to sin. He is also impeccable and unchanging. The Lord Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary (Mt.1:18-21; Is.7:14; 9:6-7; Lk.1:26-33).
2.3. We believe in God the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Person of the Holy Spirit exists eternally in the Godhead, being equal with and of the same nature as God the Father and God the Son, and involved in all the works of God, from Creation to eternity.
3. We believe that Man was created in the image of God, but he sinned and thereby incurred physical death and also spiritual death, which is separation from God. All human beings are born with a sinful nature (Gen.1:26; Rom.5:12).
4. We believe that God provided Salvation by giving His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to take the sinner's place by dying on the Cross for them (1 Pet.3:18; Jn.3:16). We believe salvation is through God's grace and is free to all through the Gospel. We further believe it is the responsibility and duty of all to accept Christ, the Savior, by faith. Those who voluntarily reject salvation and Jesus Christ will face eternal separation from God in a literal place of fiery punishment known in the Bible as 'The Lake of Fire'. When a sinner repents and receives Jesus Christ as Personal Savior, that sinner also receives eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and deliverance from divine wrath. This salvation, wrought by grace, assures us that we are preserved in Christ by the power of God and no man can pluck the saved from the Father's hand. God's Word teaches eternal security. (Jn.3:15-16; 1 Peter 1:4-5; Jn. 1:12; Jn. 10:27-30; Rom. 10:1-3; Jn.5:24; Rom.8:28-29; 35-39; Rom. 11:29; Eph. 1:4-7; 12-14).
5. We believe that in the Sacrificial Death of Christ, He died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutional sacrifice. We also believe that we are justified on the grounds of God's Grace (Rom.3:26-31), through faith in His blood (1 Cor. 15:1-3; 1 Pet. 1:8; 2:24; Jn.3:1-18; 2 Cor.5:21).
6. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification. Sanctification is that sovereign act of our Lord, where He sets apart a person, place, or object for Himself, in order that He might accomplish His purpose. (Heb.20:10; Eph.4:24; 2 Pet.3:18; Jn.17:17; 1 Thes.5:23-24; 2 Cor.3:18; 2 Cor. 15:49; Phil.3:21; 1 Jn.3:2-3).
7. We believe that every Christian should live a life and have a testimony that is pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ and will not bring reproach to His name. There should be a separation from all religious apostasy and sinful activities (2 Tim.3:1-5; Rom. 12:1- 2; 14:13; 1 Jn.2:15-17; 2 Jn.9-11; 2 Cor.6:14).
8. We believe in the Resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus Christ, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there as our High Priest and our Advocate (Jn.20; Mt.28; Lk.24; 1 Tim.2:5; Heb.9:24; Acts 1:11).
9. We believe that the Local Church is a band of born-again, baptized believers, who live in one locality and assemble together in His name on the Lord's Day for the purpose of worshiping God, breaking of bread, prayer, Bible study, testimony, and fellowship (Mt. 18:11; Acts 8:1-3; Tit. 1:5-11). The Pastor is the shepherd of the flock and is responsible to teach the Word of God and instruct the flock in the things of God (Col.4:12).
10. We believe that every Christian is commanded by Scripture to be Baptized By Immersion. The believer's baptism is to follow salvation and in no way has anything to do with an individual's salvation. Baptism is a symbol of the believer's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Rom.6:3-4; Col.2:12; 1 Pet.3:21).
11. We believe in the Lord's Supper (1 Cor. 11:16). This ordinance was instituted by the Lord Jesus on the night He was betrayed. It symbolizes the broken body and the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, and anyone who has been saved and baptized according to the Scriptures and who are in a right relationship with God, are qualified participants in the Lord's Supper (Mt.26:2-30; Mk.14:22-26).
12. We believe in the blessed hope, the personal pre-millennial and Imminent Return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (1 Thes.4:12-18; Tit.2:1; Jn. 14:1-3)
13. We believe in the Bodily Resurrection of the just and the unjust; the everlasting felicity of the saved, and everlasting conscious suffering of the lost (Jn.5:28; 1 Cor. 15:22-23; Lk. 16). We believe and teach that Jesus Christ arose literally and bodily from the grave. We also believe and teach that His resurrection assures all believers the same physical resurrection when the Lord returns for the Saints at the time of the Rapture. There will also be a resurrection of the unsaved to stand in judgment before the Lord, known in the Scriptures as the Great White Throne Judgment (Mt.28:6-7; Jn.20:27; 1 Cor. 15:1-11, 42-52; Heb. 9:27-28; 1 Thes.4:13-18; Rev.20:1-15).
14. We believe in the Personality of Satan, that old serpent, and the Devil, which deceiveth the world (Rev. 12:9-10; Mt.4:2-11; Is. 14:12-17).
